THE ECO-EDUCATORS
LANDMARKS was selected and funded by the Canadian federal government as a premier project to mark Canada’s 150th year. This project, sponsored by TD Bank, invited people to creatively explore and deepen their connection to the land through a series of contemporary art projects, presented in and around Canada’s national parks and historic sites.
DESIGN CHALLENGE: To create brand strategy and brand identity design that focuses the artistic efforts of a select group of Canadian artists and curators around a message of inspiring the public to become closer to the nature of our land.
Working with a team of leading Canadian curators, contemporary artists and OCAD educators, we were charged with strategically defining the collective purpose of this historic project and using design to create a common visual thread throughout the nine individual art projects. The design intention was to present brand identity with a contemporary feel while embodying the importance of nature and extraordinary locations to the Landmarks story.
